Blizzard Interview

I'll like to introduce you to this year's Underground Come-Up winner: Blizzard. It was a close race until the end, but Blizzard took away the title with his "First Place Winner." He came up with his name while walking in a snowstorm and it stuck. Go figure. Blizzard has been on the grind for seven years going on eight, and he dropped his first mixtape "The Beginning" on December 17, 2010. Blizzard's goals for the next five years are dropping at least ten more full length albums, along with EP's, and maybe remaster his old stuff. He'll also like to see his merchandise line come full circle and to grow the Sue Me Records roster.

Blizzard couldn't pick a favorite MC, but one that comes to mind is Mr?E. He also has been lucky enough to work with Tip-C, and watching him work his magic is always awesome. The links to these artists are here: https://www.facebook.com/Enonomuss https://www.facebook.com/therealtipc His dream collab will be Elton John, as crazy as that sounds. The best advice he has been given is "Don't compare yourself to others, because living in envy of somebody else's success is no way to live, and everybody should have their own originality anyways. He would explain his music as old school. He still believes in underground rap. He always speaks his mind, sometimes it unites people and something it pisses people off, but it's always real. You have to respect that. He tries to stay fresh and current to date: he just doesn't like the new age bullshit. The difference between him and other artists is that he always stay tuned to his roots. He's not going to drop some sell out single to get money, exposure, or street credit. He's stubborn like that. He's not saying that he won't try new things but nobody will change him.

Blizzard always wanted to make something worth remembering, not just on a small scale either. He hopes that one day 100 years from now, the world will still be listening to his albums, and talking about him and what he did. Over the years, he has learned that everyone is in music for different reasons: he's not saying one is any more right than another. You need to watch very closely who you work with though, because real friends are hard to come by. It's killed or be killed. In short, don't play with the other kids. Well, I hope that you enjoyed that interview as much as II did. Now let's check out his winning entry once again and don't forget to share: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0fQiePFewTc Also check out his latest project here and leave your opinions: https://m.soundcloud.com/sue-me-records/sets/blizzard-industry-punch">
